Keeping yourself and others safe while boating
Boating activity, including boat fishing, means a higher risk for boating accidents. It's more important than ever to not only have a life jacket, but to wear it, because 70% of drowning victims in boating accidents are not wearing life jackets and you never know when an accident will happen.
Take care, a life jackets not going to do you any good if you're not wearning it.
The Coast Guard says you should also carry a whistle or air horn on board your boat - along with a two way radio or cell phone in case of an emergency. And of course, never operate a boat while drunk.
